Although I’m not from the state of California (or even from the U.S. at all, for that matter), I really love to watch Californication TV Show series episodes whenever I can because the writing and acting is so fantastic! I had already been a die hard X-files fan for years, so following David’s performance here through this fansite seemed like a natural progression.

The Californication series centers around a jaded writer named Hank Moody who was once a successful author, but now spends most of his time jumping into bed with every woman he meets, or at least it seems that way. He drives an old Porsche (I want that car!) and exudes an irresistable charm that seems to work more on strangers than among those who know him.

His daughter acts more like the adult in the family, while Hank refuses to grow up. He still loves his ex, but has a hard time remaining faithful to her. Hank’s friends have their own assortment of problems, which are often of a very sexual nature. This show has a lot of sex scenes, so you shouldn’t watch it if you can’t handle all the R-rated hijinx (did I just say that??).

- Natascha McElhone (Moody’s hot milf ex Karen)

- Madeleine Martin (their deadpan daughter Becca)

- Madeline Zima (teenage temptress Mia Lewis)

- Evan Handler (hapless manager Charlie Runkle)

- Pamela Adlon (Charlie’s wife Marcy aka “cokey smurf”!)

Each wild episode follows the antics of Hank as he tries to walk the straight and narrow to prove to his family that he really is a good guy, but he just needs a push in the right direction sometimes. I find myself rooting for him, even when I cringe at some of the situations he gets into. His heart is in the right place, but that’s not what controls his actions…
